so i had a really yummy sandwich for lunch today.

it was entirely unhealthy, but i don't care because it was delicious.

and as i was making it, i got to thinking about how many people i've met who can't make french toast. so i decided i'd post a super simple french toast how-to.

it's not really a recipe, because i don't measure anything, i just do it.

what you need ::
an egg
some milk
a little vanilla
a wide bowl or a plate
a fork
2 pieces of bread
a nonstick skillet
a nonstick spatula
a stove
a plate for the finished toast
a little bit of patience

sadly, if you can't have eggs or milk, i can't help you, but for the rest of you, here's how to do it ::

start out like you're making scrambled eggs.
mix the egg and the milk and a little vanilla on the plate with the fork.

put the skillet on the stove and put the spurs to it! medium high for preference.

take a piece of bread, and stick it in the egg mix on the plate/bowl.
first soak 1 side, then turn it and do the other.

let it soak in a little on each side for maximum nom.

put the now-egged bread in the skillet.
let it cook for a little bit, keeping an eye on it so it doesn't burn.

when 1 side is done, use the spatula to turn it.

while that's happening, egg the second piece of bread.

take the cooked piece out of the skillet, put it on the "finished noms" plate, and put the newly-egged piece in the skillet.

repeat line groups 5 & 6.

when done, turn off the heat, put the new toast on a plate with the old, and enjoy with your favourite topping! and that's it.
