well, i'm mid-organized spree, as i managed to save enough to buy my Expedit when it was on sale. :D they didn't have any of the cross-brace shelves, but the way i've arranged it, i have 4 extra fullsize shelves, so i think i can alter them enough to make 2 sets of the shelves i want. but! i've got the photo studio up and i'm in love with it. would you like to see some pictures i've taken with it? i really do love it. if i said that it's Practically Perfect in Every Way, would it make you feel sick? because it would me. (^.-) if you click on any of those images, it'll take you to my flickr. and i linked it because those are all destache items. some of the items are spoken for, but a lot are not. if you'd like some of my crafty cast offs, just leave a comment on the image. i'll see it pretty PDQ.
in other news, my desk is a mess, because i'm mid-organize. i'm going through my supplies, and organizing them as i put them away. this seems to mean that i need to make a HUGE mess before it gets cleaned up. (anyone suprized that yobo makes a mess trying to clean up, stand on your head!) on the other hand, i AM getting things all put together and in the right places. so it's getting there. slowly but surely, it's getting there. also, i've inherited a HUGE cork board from ma mère, and while it has no frame along the bottom, i'm thinking i'll invent a little shelf, maybe 3" deep, so that i can have my favourite pumpkin figurines on there. then i'll hang it over my desk, so i can have 2 cork boards. 1 small one to keep works in progress hanging on, and the larger one for everything else. i think that sounds like a good idea. plus, i have a string of 4 days off coming next week, so i think i'll be getting everything prepped on my few off days until then, then get everything hung and fixed up during those 4 days. :D i'm going to have to find out if my male parental unit owns a planer or some sand paper that's not 30 years old, and squish a couple of the shelves a little, as they won't fit perfectly as-is, and then i get to make a template and trace it out onto the melamine, and then score the melamine on both sides, so that i don't shatter it when i cut into it. if i think of it, i'll take photos of the process and put a how-to up here. in the meantime, i'll be coming home exhausted from work (it's busy season for flooring, everyone wants to finish before thanksgiving/xmas/holidays), and i'll be organizing on my days off. so we'll see if i pop up anywhere but the twitters. see ya soonsies maybe! ciao ~yobo
